Given the less than optimal launch of the Apple Watch, an earlier launch date of the iPhone 6S makes sense. This way Apple has more time to satisfy demand and can make sure that the iPhone 6S will be shipping in time for Christmas at latest for all customers.
The research note also said that Hon Hai has a higher yield rate in assembling the iPhone and is expected to secure the majority of the orders from Apple.
Kuo just released a week ago a research note detailing his predictions of the new features that the iPhone 6S will have.
The iPhone 6S features according to Kuo include a new 12MP camera sensor, additional microphone near speaker to improve sound quality, Force Touch, A9 CPU, 2GB RAM and improved Touch ID sensor. Apple is also supposed to add a fourth color option with Rose Gold in the iPhone 6S line-up. Kuo also says that Apple again is not releasing a new 4-inch iPhone this year. The iPhone 5C would be due for a performance update as Apple did not touch the low-end iPhone last year.
