AMD announced today new high-end graphics cards with High-Bandwidth Memory, 4K gaming support, advanced VR solutions, and next-generation DirectX 12 support.

The new top of the line AMD card is the Radeon R9 Fury series graphics, ideal for Virtual Reaility early adopters. Price point is at $649. The AMD Radeon R9 Fury X GPU represents a paradigm shift in GPU design in the chip previously codenamed Fiji.

The AMD Radeon R9 Fury X, which is the world’s first HBM-powered graphics card (previously codenamed “Fiji”), is scheduled for availability starting June 24th.
