iPhone 6S gets Larger

New rumor says that Apple iPhone 6S will be larger.

In May Ming-Chi Kuo, analyst with KGI Securities has already pushed out a long list of changes that the new iPhone 6S is supposed to bring. The iPhone 6S features according to Kuo include a new 12MP camera sensor, additional microphone near speaker to improve sound quality, Force Touch, A9 CPU, 2GB RAM and improved Touch ID sensor. Apple is also supposed to add a fourth color option with Rose Gold in the iPhone 6S line-up. Lastly Apple has come up with a design featuring a different casing material and a restructured internal design to prevent Bend Gate for the iPhone 6S.

According to Japanese Apple blog Macotakara the new iPhone 6S will be slightly larger. It will be 0.2mm thicker and 0.15mm wider. It is likely that the new Force Touch screen is responsible for the change.

My personal hope is that Apple is going to make the back side of the iPhone 6S flat again, getting rid of the ugly protruding camera ring.

The report also claims that Apple will adopt the 7000 series aluminum it uses in the Apple Watch Sport case for the iPhone 6S. This has been rumored before. The new 7000 series aluminum is 60% stronger according to Apple.

It is surprising that no iPhone 6S parts have leaked yet. It is about the time the Asian supply chain starts leaking parts for the next iPhone.
