During a recent Reddit AMA, the Magic Mike XXL creator revealed what may happen with Gambit, what won't happen in X-Men, and why the Carebears are still cool.
Channing Tatum recently did a Reddit Ask Me Anything (AMA) and discussed his upcoming role in Gambit next year, where he plays the slick, charming comic book character. And one of the most interesting answers concerns X-Men: Apocalypse and if he'll be appearing. Blastr.com says the answer was quite concise. "No ma’am, or sir. I definitely will not."

The answer is definitely not what director Bryan Singer hinted at last year. Though no one really knows who will appear in what in the world of comics. After all, the entire Marvel universe is practically appearing in Captain America 3, which is currently filming in Atlanta. Though Singer seems to be set on the idea of no Gambit.
Maybe another standalone character with a red mask can let him appear.
Tatum opened up on what likes about Gambit director Rupert Wyatt (Rise of the Planet of the Apes) and how he sees the X-Men franchise and spin-offs working.
"We finally found someone that I really do believe wants to make Gambit, it will be the second standalone character. And I just really think because Gambit is not the most popular or the biggest hero, I think there’s a really unique opportunity. Marvel’s done a lot of great movies that have made a ridiculous amount of money, and it’s always good to figure how to change the form."
Previously the Magic Mike XL actor said Josh Zetumer's script turns some standard facts into a different origin. Gambit comes out Oct. 7, 2016. Deadpool starring Ryan Reynolds arrives in February while X-Men lands in May. Will the series start to merge together? Who knows with Fox in charge.
He also revealed that clubbing is what taught the actor how to dance. In fact, he "straight learned how to dance in the club" since he didn't take any lessons other than Florida clubs.
And taking a little time to joke around, the G.I. Joe star added that Matt Bomer's eyes are something special.
"I don't know what they are made of outside of dreams and rainbows and amazingness but it truly doesn't matter. And when he sings. It's like god gave with both hands and then grew a third hand and graced him with more. He's crazy talented."
Seemingly chill and enjoying the experience, Tatum took the time to answer fans are real as possible. Including that his favorite Carebears are Braveheart Lion and Swift Heart Rabbit, which are Carebear Cousins, and his favorite Disney character is the broom from Fantasia.

And fear not: even Channing Tatum doesn't understand Shia LaBeouf's motivational speech gimmick or Jupiter Ascending.
