The pair has earned $146 million collectively, replacing Beyonce and Jay Z as Forbes highest paid celebrity couple.
Last time when Forbes released its highest-paid celebrity couples list in 2013, the famous hip hop pair Beyonce and Jay Z was placed at the top spot. But this year, they have been dethroned by a relatively new couple, which has just started dating for a while and it’s none other than Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris.

The pop singer and her Scottish partner collectively earned more than $146 million, which is more than any other couple last year. Jay Z and Beyonce combined for a $110 million, a lot higher than what they had achieved previous occasion ($95 million). Nevertheless, they have slipped to number two spot.
Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris are immensely successful in their own careers. The “Bad Blood” singer’s recent album 1989 was the highest-selling album of 2014 while Harris was reportedly the highest-paid DJ in 2014. He has worked with singers like Rihanna, Kesha and Kylie Minogue. He also has signed a lucrative multi-year deal with Hakkasan group earlier this year and regularly plays at Hakkasan, which is one of the biggest nightclubs in United States.
Apart from that, both celebrities have their own endorsement deals. Swift is the brand ambassador of Diet Coke, Sony and KEDS while Calvin Harris represents Giorgio Armani and Sol Republic Headphones. If they continue to excel, which is highly likely that they will be, they will not be replaced by any pair any time soon.
Jay Z and Beyonce, who have recently celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary, were ranked the highest paid couple in 2012 and 2013. They are not only talented singers but also shrewd business personalities. Jay Z has recording company Roc Nation as well as streaming service Tidal. Beyonce owns her own line of fragrance and has endorsement deals with a number of brands.
