Let's Celebrate Pride on Facebook with Rainbow

  • Facebook reveals new ‘Celebrate Pride’ tool to celebrate same sex marriages!

All major Silicon Valley leaders also join in n the celebration with congratulatory messages on social media.

On Friday the Supreme Court of the United States of America decided to uplift the ban of gay marriages. The decision was celebrated by the entire LGBT community around the US and major tech companies from the Silicon Valley also sent their congratulatory input on the news.

Mark Zuckerberg the founder of Facebook posted a congratulatory message on his Facebook profile saying he was very happy for all his friends and members of the LGBT community who can finally celebrate their love.

In another move Zuckerberg also announced the launch of the ’Celebrate Pride’ tool, which allows users to apply a filter over their pictures of a multicolored rainbow. Zuckerberg himself used the tool and his profile picture now features a rainbow filter to celebrate the event where all couples will be recognized equally under the law.

Facebook is not the only one celebrating the equal marriage act, but Apple was one of the first companies to endorse same sex couples after CEO Tim Cook announced he himself is homosexual. Cook took to twitter to convey his happiness by tweeting the day marked a victory for equality, perseverance and love. 

Other Silicon Valley companies followed suit with AT&T coloring its famous blue logo with the colors of the rainbow and tweeting with the hash tag Love is Love.

The video sharing site Vine also owned by Facebook shared a ‘Love Wins’ playlist with a rainbow colored graphic.

Google added colorful heart and emoji of people holding hands if ‘marriage equality’ is researched on the browser.

Other companies with similar message in support of equal marriages include AinBNB, Uber, Lyft, Reddit, Salesforce.com etc.
