For the first time Parrot offers a drone that can swim. The Parrot Hydrofoils are flying minidrones that can be attached to a hydrofoil body. They rise out of the water and rush like the racers of the America’s cup as can be seen in the video below.
Equipped with all the capabilities that are common to the ‘Airborne’ drones, the minidrone can be separated from its nautical strcture in order to rip through the air and do breathtaking aerial acrobatics. The Hydrofoil drones reach 18km/h in the air and 10km/h (5.4 knots) on water (it is recommended to use the Hydrofoil on freshwater).
The 2015 Parrot miniDrones line-up includes also the Parrot Jumping and Jumping Night. Both are terrestrial drones with cameras and jump mechanism. These drones jump up to 2.5 feet high and land on their wheels every time. The Jumping Night have a special camera that sees in twilight.
The Jumping Race drones can roll with speeds up to 13km/h in boost mode.
The new flying miniDrones include the Airborne, Airborne Night and Airborne Cargo. See a feature comparisons of the new 2015 Parrot miniDrones line-up below.
