The Japanese based company Casio will be launching a more price friendly smartwatch by next year.
Casio is about to launch its very own smartwatch by next year. The popular digital watch and calculator maker will launch a smartwatch in the US and Japan by March 2016. The smartwatch by Casio will be more price friendly than the other watches from tech giants such as Samsung, LG, Sony, and Apple.

The Casio smartwatch although a luxury smartwatch will be priced at about $349 which is the price of the entry level smartwatch by Apple, reported WSJ.
According to the President of Casio Kazuhiro Kashio, their upcoming smartwatch will be a luxury watch of sorts but aimed more at the mass market and will be more focused on aspects such as comfort and durability.
Kashio further stated the smartwatch won’t break easily, will be simple to wear and will feel good on the wrist. The smartwatch by Casio is also claimed to be the best device for especially users who prefers outdoor sports.
Casio smartwatch will be more focused on the time showing aspect but as it says it will be a smartwatch some features will be added. As Casio describes it the features in the smartwatch will be different from all other smartwatches from the market.
Casio previously released smartwatches which featured heart rate monitor and schedule manager which were very popular at the time. Sources claim Casio has been working on the smartwatch for the past four years and even rejected several prototypes until the final design was approved.
One of the prototypes included a bulky phone like hybrid smartwatch, but the final design is yet to be released. Kashi has expressed his wish the smartwatch to cross the $80 million mark in sales in the first batch of smartwatches after its release.
