The latest and last reveal is huge. The OnePlus 2 will have 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. OnePlus says that with LPDDR4, users will see faster loading times, smoother gameplay, and never-before-seen energy saving features. LPDDR4 has twice the bandwidth performance as the LPDDR3 at the same power consumption profile.
The RAM of the OnePlus 2 uses a lower operating voltage than its predecessor, decreasing from 1.2V to 1.1V. And with speeds up to 32 GB/s, it is also twice as fast as the LPDDR3. It offers optimal support for power-saving low frequency mode that brings clock speeds down when performing those everyday and necessary tasks.
The 4GB RAM will be used by the 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor powering the OnePlus 2. The Snapdragon 810 v2.1 has 8 cores supporting streaming 4K Ultra HD video, crisp and fast photos with one quick snap. The OnePlus 2 supports immersive 3D gaming with the Adreno 430 GPU.
Earlier OnePlus revealed that the OnePlus 2 has an advanced fingerprint sensor. OnePlus says it is going to be faster than Apple's TouchID.
The new OnePlus 2 smartphone will be priced under $450 said OnePlus CEO Pete Lau on Twitter a couple days ago.
