Samsung planning to launch Galaxy Note 5 ahead of schedule

Samsung expected to launch Galaxy Note 5 in mid-August

Samsung has been releasing it most desirable cell phones in IFA for almost four generations now. Samsung has been unveiling its Note series from 2011 in the month of September (The time for IFA). This time, most probably, Samsung is going to break its own stereotype.

This time Samsung is planning to launch Galaxy Note 5 ahead of its schedule; and it is expected that the Smartphone will release in mid-August. The most acceptable reason for this sudden change of launching time is rumored to be due to iPhone. According to The Wall Street Journal, Apple announced the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus six days after the unveil of the Galaxy Note 4 at IFA, with the publication noting that Samsung would want to avoid a similar situation this time around.

Samsung blamed its 39 percent net profit plunge in the January-to-March quarter on Apple's bigger iPhones, which thrived during the previous earnings period. While Smartphone sales did increase quarter over quarter—thanks to the Galaxy A Series and new high-end Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge; the tablet and feature phone business is flagging.

Some of the features that are rumored to come with the Galaxy Note 5 include a 5.7-inch Quad HD display, an Exynos 7422 processor, a 4100 mAh battery, an upgraded fingerprint sensor, bottom edge speakers and a metal/glass case that is similar to the Galaxy S6.

Although Samsung refused to comment on the sudden change of decision for the launch, but as stated above it is somewhat obvious due to iPhone’s popularity. Also, no specific date for the release has been announced yet.
