Murphy revealed that Lady Gaga is starring in the American Horror Story: Hotel and is playing an evil character in the series. In fact, it was Lady Gaga herself who demanded such kind of a role.
“She said, ‘I want to be evil.’ And I said, ‘Ok, you came to the right place.” Murphy told the audience.
Murphy also praised the way Lady Gaga handled the project and worked with the people.
“She’s been very collaborative and incredibly fun. When you work with somebody like her, you sign up for something larger than life. That’s what you want.”
Though the showrunner refrained himself providing any specific details about her character, but he hinted that her character has something to do with fashion.
“Part of her role involves fashion. You want Lady Gaga to look a certain way, so the designers have been coming out of the woodwork to stuff for us. It’s been really, really thrilling.”
Murphy also revealed not all but some of the character names from the series. Bates is playing Iris, Bassett is Ramona, Peter is Mr. March, Matt Bomer is Donovan and Sarah Paulson is Hypodermic Sally. The name of the character of Lady Gaga was not disclosed.
The upcoming season, which is the fifth season of American Horror Story, will air on FX in October and is expected to be much more terrifying and bloodier than its predecessors. Ryan Murphy, who is the producer, writer and creator of the show said.
“The fun thing about the show is I always want to write the opposite of the season before.”
