These rumors surfaced after Cupertino's capture of Fiat Chrysler Automobile's Doug Betts, who joined Apple in July of this year, according to his LinkedIn profile. Betts was previously the lead for the Italian-American global company, but seems to have been steered in another direction. The movement is part of what calls all of this into question.
Apple fans in industry insiders have known that the Apple car was coming - they just didn't know how soon it would appear. The idea and desire was make clear when Jeff Williams, who is Apple's chief operations suit, described cars as "the ultimate mobile device."
There are many rumors flying about the product, including that it may sync with the iPhone, Apple water, and other gadgets. The car, which is said to be an electric car, naturally, is said to be codenamed "Titan" but everyone surrounding it is extremely tight lipped.
Cupertino is known to have been secretly shuffling employees around its car-related project. It is expected to be preparing an entry into the future, driverless, automotive industry.

Playlists you can sync up so it doesn't use your battery? Wireless battery charging whenever you are near your car? Siri at your beck and call?
