The “Mad Max: Fury Road” star will turn 40 on August 7 but she is not worried about it at all, in fact, she is so happy to achieve this milestone.
“Forties rock. People are so concerned for me. It’s okay. It’s such a weird thing that we put so much – I think especially for women.” Oscar-winning actress told E! Online while promoting her new mystery film “Dark Places.” “I’m so happy to be in my 40s and not be in my 20s and worried if I fit into my skinny jeans or whether I will be able to get into that club.”
“It’s so nice to just be in love with your couch and make cheesy sandwiches and just enjoy life. It’s been great.”
Although, Charlize Theron is excited getting into her 40s but she has no plans for celebrating her birthday.
“I don’t know. I honestly haven’t even been thinking about it. I literally wrapped a movie two days ago. I’ve never been a big birthday person. I’ll celebrate a month later if I’m in the right place and the right restaurant, like, (I’ll shout) ‘You guys, tonight’s my birthday.’”
Charlize Theron recently broke up with actor Sean Penn after dating more than one year. She has a three-year old son, Jackson and she is a working single mom. Her upcoming film “Dark Places” is available on DirecTV and will also be released in theaters later this year. Charlize is playing Libby Day, who is trying to find out what exactly happened with her mother and sister when they were killed 25 years ago. She meets a group called "The Kill Club" to solve the mystery. The film also features Christina Hendricks, Andrea Roth, Nicholas Hoult and Chloe Grace Moretz.
Based on Gillian Flynn’s novel of the same name, “Dark Places” is directed by Gilles Paquet-Brenner. Charlize is not only playing the lead role but working in producer’s capacity as well. Both her film and her birthday are on same date.
