Previously, both cell phones were believed to launch on August 12th at IFA in Berlin. Samsung's yearning to push the release of Note 5 ahead of schedule is clearly an offer to take some of Apple's limelight, which is planning to release its iPhone 6S and 6S Plus duo. Definitely it is a good step on the part of Samsung; as every one in anticipating Samsung’s releases as much as that of Apple and an early launch will help Samsung gain more popularity(most probably, if the Note 5 lives up to the expectations of people).
Business Korea, which initially reveals this news states that: "It is believed that Samsung tries to not only check Apple, which threatens its number one position in global smartphone market share, but also capture consumers before the release of the iPhone 6S in September," . Samsung usually launches its Phones, annually, on the IFA occasion in September.
We've previously heard from different sources that Samsung is gearing up to launch the Galaxy Note 5 on August 12, and while this is one day earlier than the date we've heard today, it does seem to add credence to the claims that Samsung will be announcing something around those dates.
The leaked specifications regarding the Samsung’s upcoming release Note 5 suggest that the Note 5 will feature a 5.7 inch QHD Super AMOLED display, 4GB RAM, its own Exynos 7422 processor and a 16 megapixel camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), along with a stylus pen.
The Galaxy S6 edge Plus will be without a stylus. It will feature a 5.7 inch display, 3GB RAM, Exynos 7420 processor, and 16 megapixel camera. Samsung with its Galaxy S6 and S6 edge moved away from plastic materials used in its previous flagship phones and is most likely to use same metal frame and glass back in its upcoming Note 5 and S6 edge Plus.

If Samsung manages to overcome the availability issues for the Note phones, it will surely give a tough time to Apple’s 6S Plus.
