Is there anything James Franco cannot do?
Don't Miss: iPhone 8: Everything You Need to Know
The answer is, “NO”.
After acting, filmmaking, teaching and having more degrees than a thermometer, James has penned a book 100-page book about his friend and muse Lana Del Rey. The book, which is titled “Flip-Side”, will be released in March 15 next year via Penguin Random House.
Flip-Side: Real and Imaginary Conversations With Lana Del Rey” is a joint venture between Franco and best-selling author and David Shields.
The idea of writing a book on singer, songwriter Lana Del Rey must have stemmed from the piece of writing which Oscar-winning actor had written on Lana Del Rey earlier this year.
“Lana lives in her heart and when she comes down to earth for interviews, it get’s messy because she isn’t made for this earth,” Franco wrote. “She is made to live in the world she creates. She has one who has been so disappointed by life, she had to create her own world. Just let her live in it.”
He hinted at a book as well. “I wanted to interview Lana for a book and she said, ‘Just write around me, it’s better if it’s not my own words. It’s almost better if you don’t get me exactly, but try.’” Franco told V in January 2015.
Franco is so obsessed with Lana Del Rey’ music that in an interview with Howard Stern back in December 2014, he said. “I would sex with her music.”
The 37-year old actor is not new in the gig. There is a whole collection of Franco' books available in the market including “A California Childhood”, “Hollywood Dreaming: Stories, Pictures and Poem”, “Actors Anonymous” and a poetry book “Directing Herbert White.”
Franco’s 2010 book “Palo Alto” was also adapted into the film. It was named after his home town “Palo Alto” and was based on the childhood memories and inspirations of the actor.
