Bill Cosby has suffered career loss in the course of one year that includes the closing of his show, taking down of his bust from Disneyland and even cancellation of his professorship. The young generation that Cosby has aspirations for is calling him a hypocrite. Still that seems like little suffering for what he has done.
Or so his victims think. 35 of the some 42 women who have been victimized by Cosby gathered for shooting a cover for New York Magazine. The women also interviewed individually for the story that is dominating all online resources. The interviews are accompanied by six video in which the victims are telling their experiences while they were assaulted and post rape.
The cover itself features all 35 women in a black and white photo in which all of them are sitting on chairs. Below them is stated the date on which they say they were raped. The magazine resources say that it was amazing that even when interviewed individually, the stories of these 35 women had striking similarities. Their experiences were almost similar. The cover also features an empty chair at the bottom corner.
Twitter is already trending with #theemptychair. The meaning that it implies is being thought upon. The victims claim that they know more victims who are not yet coming out and the chair serves as a continuation sign indicating unknown numbers of women whom Cosby may have victimized.
The Cosby defense in the claim that just because these women were saying so did not mean that Cosby had done it. The lack of proof and the timeline are playing in Cosby’s favor for a severe sentence.
