The South Korean consumer electronics giant is expected to unveil the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus (edge+) and the Galaxy Note 5.
Samsung has been surprised by the higher demand for the S6 Edge launched earlier this year. Now a larger S6 Edge is supposed to compete with the Apple 6S Plus this fall.
The leaks and rumors so far say that the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus has a 5.7-inch screen with quad HD resolution, Exonys 7420 CPU, 4GB RAM and 16MP camera. The Galaxy Note 5 shares the same specs but adds a stylus pen.
Last week photos of the Galaxy S6 edge+ and the Galaxy Note 5 have leaked on Mobilefun. There are no big surprises. The edge+ just has the same design as the S6 edge, but is larger.
The new Samsung Galaxy Unpack event is timed to take place three weeks ahead of the Apple iPhone 6S event according to our Tech events calendar.
It remains to be seen if Samsung manages to get the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ in stores ahead of the iPhone 6S sales launch.
