Apple will start selling Apple Watch in Canada through Best Buy
Best Buy will begin to offer the Apple Watch in more than a hundred U.S. retail stores on August 7.
According to Best Buy, Just a week later the device will hit Best Buy stores in Canada. This will help the Apple’s footprint in Canada, where it was only available through the online and retail Apple Stores.
Tony Sandhu, Senior Vice President of merchandising at Best Buy Canada, said: “We know our customers want Apple Watch. It has become one of the most popular searched products on BestBuy.ca. We’re excited to bring the highly coveted Apple Watch to more Canadian consumers, especially with the holidays coming up.”
The publication was also able to get the confirmation statement from an Apple spokesperson. It mentions that “Customers love Apple Watch, and we are thrilled to begin offering it at Best Buy locations across Canada starting August 14.”
Apple also passed the statement that, “More than 50 Best Buy stores will carry Apple Watch and Apple Watch Sport models in time for the holiday shopping season.” Canada’s Best Buy will offer a total of sixteen different Apple Watch and Apple Watch Sport models.
It will replicate its Apple Watch launch strategy in the United States. Canadian prices will start from $449 for the smaller, 38-mm model Apple Watch Sport.
A standard version will be $699, and the high-end "Edition" model will available in $13,000. It was announced early this week that Best Buy would become the first third-party outlet to sell the Apple Watch.
It will make it much easier for the buyers to get one if they don't have access to an Apple Store. For those who live in Canada it won't be too long before you'll be able to get an Apple Watch at a Best Buy store near you.
