Drake sung two dissing songs during his OVO fest performance to get back at Meek Mill in their long standing rivalry.
Meek Mill started a war with Drake. He accused Drake of using ghostwriters to write his rap. Such an accusation is an insult to any rapper. Especially to Drake who has topped the charts consistently. Meek might have said what he said with envy. Drake is not letting this one go.
He started his Meek-dissing on Monday. He wore the same shirt he had worn last year when Meek was incarcerated. He had been arrested for breaking parole. Drake wore the same shirt as a reminder of Meek’s criminal activities.
The ‘Free Meek Mill’ shirt soon caught drift on social media. The #FreeMeekMill trend buzzed on Twitter while fans of Drake and Meek both participated. It all built anticipation for Drake’s performance on the OVO fest.
Drake used his time on stage to diss Meek. He performed his first dissing song “Charged Up”. The background featured a picture of a casket being driven up. The image was captioned Meek Mill Checking Out Of His Hotel This Morning.
Drake then gave out his two cents on Meek Mill’s diss response. He performed “Wanna Know” whilst out a participation certificate. The participation certificate was for Meek Mill of course while Drake dissed him.
That was followed by a Simpsons homage. The homage featured a Simpsons’ version of Meek Mill in the iconic Bart Simpson scene. The scene where Bart is writing on the green board during detention. The words Meek was writing were “I Will Never Ever Disrespect The 6 God”. Future and Sketpa made quick cameos.
Drake just said "He ain't ready for that 3peat. He don't want that 3 peat"— Karizza Sanchez (@karizzasanchez) August 4, 2015
It was some pretty heavy stuff. Drake then pulled his gun on Nicki Minaj. She is a fellow label mate but that didn’t save her from a mocking photo. Just because she was in a relationship with Meek Mill.
He then dragged in Travis Scott. Travis was arrested Saturday and charged with disorderly conduct. He encouraged fans to jump the security barrier during his Lollapalooza performance.

There was a probability of a third dissing song but Drake didn’t sing it. Rumored to come out later. Pharrell Williams came out later to set a lighter tone. He performed his song, “Drop It Like It’s Hot”. Where do you wonder Meek was. He posted a picture on Instagram while getting his teeth cleaned. The picture came with the caption, “Gotta clean my teeth b4 I talk dirty.”
