The 24-year old Australian rapper talks about her changing appearance in the latest “Seventeen” magazine issue.
“I’m not denying it. Denying it is lame. I don’t think you should be ashamed of you made a change to yourself.” Azalea said.
When Iggy Azalea appeared in Billboard Music Awards back in May, her face looked a bit changed. She was speculated to undergone plastic surgery. But people couldn’t figure out which part exactly went under the knife.
Those rumors and speculations surrounding her surgery were true since Azalea had a nose job earlier this year. She says it is difficult both to live with your flaws and taking a step to change your looks.
“Plastic surgery is an emotional journey. It’s no easy feat to live with your flaws and accept yourself – and it’s no easy feat to change yourself. Either way you look at it, it’s a tough journey. There are things that I didn’t like about myself that I changed through surgery. There are other things I dislike but I’ve learned to accept.”
Nose is the second modified part of her body. She had breast augmentation surgery before, she confessed in an interview with Vogue.
“I did change something. Four months ago, I got bigger boobs! I’d thought about it my entire life.” She said.
Azalea admitted that she first decided to not discuss it publicly. She does not want to make her young fans feel bad about their bodies. But thought again and decided to reveal it.
Iggy Azalea advices do not rush into plastic surgery. Think about it and take your time.
“Your perception of yourself can change a lot over time. So I think it’s important to wait and make sure it’s the right choice.”
