Taylor Swift is known for having some of the toughest lawyers in all of the entertainment business - but it seems like having great lawyers was not quite enough this time. According to E! News, a judge has ordered that the pop music superstar will have to testify under oath in the Lucky 13 trademark infringement lawsuit. In the official ruling, it was revealed that her lawyers tried to limit the questions that she was asked as well as the time she would have to be on the bench due to schedule constraints.

It was only last year that it was announced that the Grammy winner would be sued by the Orangce Country apparal group called Lucky 13. According to the lawsuit, which actually goes all the way back to May 2014, the band is accusing Taylor and her team of trademark infringment. It stems from her anauthorized use of Lucky 13's tradmarks - which are federally registered.
The company, which was founded in 1991 and specializes in street wear, claimed that they have contacted Swift's camp numerous times but there was no resolution. They also said that Taylor is trying to market to their target audience - which, it appears, is bikers and gothic individuals. That doesn't really seem like the Taylor crowd.
Anyone who is even a casual fan of Taylor Swift knows that the number 13 is one of her superstitions - she believes that the number brings her good luck. During some of her tours, she painted the number onto her hand with nailpolish: "The significance of the number 13 on my hand…I paint this on my hand before every show because 13 is my lucky number—for a lot of reasons," she once explained to MTV News. "It's really weird."
"I was born on the 13th. I turned 13 on Friday the 13th. My first album went gold in 13 weeks. My first No. 1 song had a 13-second intro. Every time I've won an award I've been seated in either the 13th seat, the 13th row, the 13th section or row M, which is the 13th letter."
She added, "Basically whenever a 13 comes up in my life, it's a good thing."
