The Wednesday date makes though sense to give Apple employees and invited journalists a day to prepare after Labor Day, September 7.
Paczkowski also says that Apple will unveil new iPads and the new Apple TV besides the iPhone 6S. If Apple is ready to show off the rumored iPad Pro is not clear yet.
The iPhone 6S is not very different from the iPhone 6S and Apple will have ample time to talk about other products incuding the new Apple TV.
