The singer opens up about gender discrimination, "Bad Blood" and her own self

Miley Cyrus is the cover girl for Marie Claire’s September edition.

The 22-year old singer talked about sexism in the music industry, money making and the reason of creating a foundation. She did not forget to slam Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” video in her interview.

“People in this industry think, I just gotta keep getting more money, and what are you getting more money for? You couldn’t probably spend it all in this lifetime. People get more famous, so they can make their brand more famous, so that they can make more money. It’s a never ending-cycle. Getting more money, having more hits, being the lead in the movie – those things might stimulate you, but they don’t make you happy. I’ve experienced it all already, and I’m telling you firsthand, it doesn’t.”

On the issue of gender discrimination in Hollywood and music industry, she said.

“There is so much sexism, ageism, you name it. Kendrick Lamar about LSD and he’s cool. I do it and I’m a druggie whore.”

Miley Cyrus also criticized “Bad Blood” video and questioned Swift’s role model status.

“I don’t get the violence revenge thing,” Cyrus said. “That’s supposed to be a good example? And I’m bad role model because I’m running around with my t-----s out? I’m not sure how t-----s are worse than guns?

Miley Cyrus started her career with teen sitcom “Hannah Montana”. She drew a lot of criticism for her frequent nudity and raunchy onstage performances.

“I don’t really stress too much about being out there. There is nothing left to catch me doing. You want to hack my e-mail so you can find my nude pictures? I” will just f—king put them up.”

The latest Marie Claire issue will come out August 18.
