How will Force Touch improve the new iPhone 6S? A source of 9to5Mac has revealed details on how Apple uses Force Touch in the new iPhone. The iOS Force Touch enabled version is supposed to be called "Orb" inside Apple.
Force Touch on the iPhone is aimed at reducing the number of clicks to get something done. For instance a user can Force Touch on a destination on Maps to begin turn-by-turn directions right away saving two steps.
The new Force Touch option will also reveal extra options on the App icons on the home screen and users get a preview of a web page or contact when deep pressing an address.
Apple is opening Force Touch also of course to developers enabling apps to benefit from the new input option. 9to5Mac's source also claims that the new iPad Pro would sport Force Touch.
