It’s been a year already. And the world is still trying to cope with the unexpected and tragic death of Robin Williams. As the nostalgia of his amazingness hits us in waves, we remember the great actor and comedian.

Robin Williams died last year on 11th August. The news came unexpectedly and shocked the entire world. He was found dead by a personal assistant in his home in Tiburon, California in the San Francisco Bay Area. The cause of death was revealed as asphyxia after hanging himself with a belt.

Conan O’Brien was recording for his late night show Conan on TBS. He received the news of Williams’ death. The host announced about Williams’ death. And Conan also observed a moment of silence for the great comedian.

His daughter Zelda asked the media to let the family grieve in peace. The world was devastated by the loss. Zelda still had to take a hiatus from social media. It was because a lot of people were sending her trashy messages about his death.

The Marin County authorities cleared all doubts. They revealed that there was no trace of alcohol or drugs in his system. There was a concentrated amount of prescription drugs in his system coinciding with his therapy.

It was later revealed by his widow, Susan Schneider that Robin was battling with depression. He had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease most recently before his death. The actor’s struggle with the disease was what might have led him to attempt suicide, according to CNN.

Those who worked with him were the first to remember him. Sarah Michelle Gellar paid tribute to the actor. She starred as Williams’ daughter in the comedy The Crazy Ones, . 

Even this year, she posted a picture on Instagram. It showed a bench where their characters had stood looking at a sign board. It was designed by Williams’ character Emerson Roberts. 

She captioned the above picture: "To laugh often and much; to win the respect of the intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the beauty in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that one life has breathed easier because you lived here. The star had revealed that he was “Uncle Robin” to her children, according to USWeekly. The best boss to everyone that he worked with.

Hollywood also remembered one of their favorite comedians and actor on the biggest platforms. Billy Crystal paid a tribute to the actor. 

He said that the ‘He was the greatest friend you could ever have. Protective, loving, it’s difficult to talk about him in the past because he was so present in all of our lives. For almost 40 years he was the brightest star in a comedy galaxy.’ 

He was also among the stars who paid tribute to Robin Williams on the Oscars this year, according to Mirror.

Williams’ received an Oscar for his role in the 1997 drama Good Will Hunting. He played the role of Sean Maguire. His other wins include two Primetime Emmy Awards, six Golden Globe Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and four Grammy Awards throughout his career.

Robin Williams began his career doing stand-up comedy shows. He started his carerr in the San Francisco Bay Area in the mid-1970s. His first performance took place at the Holy City Zoo. 

It was a comedy club in San Francisco, where he worked his way up from tending bar to getting on stage. Williams helped lead its "comedy renaissance," writes critic Gerald Nachman.

His long extensive career comprises of musical comedy Popeye in 1980. He starred or co-starred in widely acclaimed films. The movies include the comedy-drama "The World According to Garp" in 1982, the war comedy "Good Morning, Vietnam" in 1987. 

He worked in dramas "Dead Poets Society" in 1989 and "Awakenings" in 1990. He also did the comedy-drama "The Fisher King" in 1991. And also worked in animated musical fantasy "Aladdin" (1992), drama "Good Will Hunting" (1997). 

His other credits include psychological thriller "One Hour Photo" (2002),. His financial successes include the fantasy adventure film "Hook" (1991), comedy "Mrs. Doubtfire" (1993). Robin Williams' other hits include fantasy adventure "Jumanji" (1995), comedy "The Birdcage" (1996), and fantasy adventure-comedy "Night at the Museum" (2006).
