Samsung killed the SD card slot in the Galaxy S6 and Note 5 to the dismay of many Samsung fans. An new image that surfaced in Asia gives hope that there is an SD card slot soon again.
Samsung will unveil today the new Galaxy S6 edge+ and the Galaxy Note 5 at the Galaxy Unpack event. The event will be streamed live online starting at 11am ET.

Images and specifications of both new Galaxy phones have leaked. There are likely no surprises today in the Samsung media event.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus has a 5.7-inch screen with quad HD resolution, Exonys 7420 CPU, 4GB RAM and 16MP camera. The Galaxy Note 5 shares the same specs but adds a stylus pen. Both will have no removable battery and no SD card slot, like the Apple iPhones.
Many fans of the Samsung Galaxy phones are disappointed that the company dropped the options to remove the battery and add a SD Card. A new image of what is supposed to be a Galaxy Note 5 Dual-SIM edition shows an SD Card slot.

The SD card slot is in a dual use slot that can also take the 2nd SIM card. It is hard to tell if this photo leaked on Hong Kong based mobile site ePrice (via PocketNow) is legit. If legit it is not clear when and where Samsung would release a Dual-SIM Galaxy Note 5.
