Just when the iPad loses market share in the enterprise and overall sales dwindle, Apple is reportedly working on a huge initiative to make the iPad more appealing for businesses.
The Apple iPad fell from 81% enterprise market share to 64% just in a matter of one year. Android grew from 15% to 25% and Windows increased from 3% to 11%. The tablet market is weak in general, but Apple also loses to other vendors.

That is about to change. The Wall Street Journal reports that Apple works with 40 companies to make the iPad more attractive for business users. According to the report Apple advises app makers to optimize their apps for business users.
Apple also called on partners to educate Apple personal about how to sell to business customers.
Internally the initiative is called mobility partner program (MPP). Apple is also supposed to introduce the iPad Pro that could be especially attractive for business users. In enterprises, software is much more important than hardware. Business users need tools that are interoperable and are secure. The tools need to be productive and customizable.
Apple's partnership program seems to address this need.
The next Apple event is on September 9 (unconfirmed). Rumors say that Apple will reveal new iPads including an iPad mini 4. The main attraction of the event is though the iPhone 6S.
