The Irish will wear the uniforms for the game against the Boston College Eagles on Nov. 21. The designated venue is Fenway Park in Boston, Ma.
Mike Vorel of The South Bend Tribune confirmed the details.
ESPN's Darren Rovell says it will be the two team's first game at Fenway Park since Dec. 1, 1968. Before that game, the NFL's New England Patriots played five years at Fenway. That same year, they moved to Boston College's Alumni Stadium.
The Irish will wear a gold helmet with a green facemask. An image of Notre Dame's famous leprechaun is on one side of the helmet. The jersey and the pants are green. The uniform's font is in blue, per Vorel.
There are 11 breaks on the helmet stripe and pant leg. Rovell says these signify Notre Dame's 11 national titles.
Fifth-year running back Josh Anderson modeled the new look in front of his teammates. ESPN's Matt Fortuna reported on the development on Thursday.
Anderson's teammates let out a huge roar when they found out Notre Dame granted him a scholarship.
Irish head coach Brian Kelly described the moment to Fortuna:
"(Anderson is) a senior for us that has done everything we've asked over the last five years. He's taken more hits than any of our backs. He's a scout-team player. He's done everything. He's a great student.
"Well-respected by all of his teammates and we had an available scholarship and as a senior he deserved it so I brought him out to announce the Under Armour uniforms and I had him instead of the big mannequin, I had him dressed in the Under Armour uniform.
"He didn't know he was getting a scholarship. So the guys were pretty charged up. He had the Under Armour. I said, 'You know this is a great model. Matter of fact, he's such a great model. I said, 'Josh, take your helmet off.'
"He models everything that I think is right about a Notre Dame football player. At that time I announced he was gonna get a scholarship, and the guys were excited. It was a good moment."
The Eagles also unveiled their Shamrock Series uniforms on Thursday.
Rovell stresses the look pays tribute to Boston College's 1984 team. Quarterback Doug Flutie's Hail Mary pass that year made the team famous.
Under Armour designed Notre Dame and Boston College's uniforms, per Rovell.
The Shamrock Series began in 6-0. Notre Dame is undefeated in the series, per The South Bend Tribune.
The Irish are seeking to improve their all-time record against the Eagles. They are 13-9 against the Eagles. The matchup between the two schools is known as "The Holy War," per Rovell.
Notre Dame has won four in a row against Boston College. Before that streak, the Eagles won six consecutive games against Notre Dame, per ESPN.
