Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Drop Test Reveals Its Delicacy

Galaxy Note 5 performs poor in drop test

Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 5 at the Galaxy Unpacked 2015 occasion a week ago.

The Galaxy Note 5 is Samsung’s flagship phablet for this year. The phablet offers great hardware details.

It also supports a stronger body with metal frames running along its edges. In any case, you will wonder before buying that how strong is the Galaxy Note 5? Apparently, not so strong!

As revealed by the video, PhoneBuff performed the drop test with Samsung Galaxy Note 5

. They also contrasted the outcome with different phones to decide how solid the Note 5 really is.

PhoneBuff said it utilizes a standard drop test machine. Because, it gives more approach and results more reliability.

In its test, the Galaxy Note 5 figured out how to survive when dropped on its edge from 1 meter over the ground onto a tile.

There were some minor scratches. The metal edge to a great extent kept the force from doing any perceptible harm to the phablet.

Tragically, the Galaxy Note 5 didn't offer comparative vigor when dropped on its back or front boards. The same height broke the glass layer on the back panel.

Also a spider web of crack appeared all across the back panel except for above the camera module.

The cracks  weren't on the top layer of glass, so the phone could continue to be used without users cutting their fingers.

Dropping the Galaxy Note 5 on its front board smashed the glass of the display. However, the touch panel and display kept on working.

While dropping it on concrete, results in vanishing of touch input from the bottom right corner. The face-first saw some more cracks appear.

This gives you an idea of what to expect from the phone if it slipped from your pocket and tumbled to the ground.

PhoneBuff noticed that as per its tests, the Galaxy Note 5 fared superior to the Galaxy S6. Galaxy S6 was one of the two lead phones launched by Samsung in March.

The Galaxy Note 5 couldn't surpass the Apple iPhone 6 or HTC One (M9). According to PhoneBuff's benchmarking both the phones are stronger.
