  • Audi E-tron Quattro Concept car concept plans to rival Tesla!

The new electric SUV by Audi will compete with the Model S series by Tesla.

Audi is planning to make an electric SUV of its own. The new range of electronic cars has been dubbed E-tron Quattro.

The car will be cross-over of an SUV and an electric vehicle. The new range will compete against the Model S electric car series of Tesla, according to Bloomberg

The E-tron Quattro concept by Audi will be unveiled next month. The unveiling will occur at the Frankfurt Auto Show. The new car by Audi can supposedly drive for more than 500 km before recharging.

The news was released by the German carmaker Audi itself. If the Audi E-tron car can run for 500 km or 310 miles, than it will last longer on the road than the Tesla cars. The Tesla Model S cars can run for 420-kilometer before they need to be recharged.

The car in the concept will be equipped with three electric motors. E-tron will also include movable components at the front, side and rear to improve aerodynamics.

The design will also extend the driving range. The concept is actually a precursor for the electric sport-utility vehicle. Audi plans to start production of the cars by 2018.

Tesla is currently looking to sell its 2.7 million shares. The second Model X SUV will start shipping soon. The Tesla cars may pose a threat to luxury brands such as Audi. So Audi has come up with new electric car concepts.
