New rumor says that Apple adds animated home screens in the iPhone 6S.
Apple is not only bringing the Force Touch screen from the Apple Watch to the iPhone 6S. The new iPhone will also have motion wallpapers. 9to5Mac reports that two sources who have used internal iPhone 6S prototypes said that Apple will add motion wallpapers in the iPhone 6S.
Apple is likely providing a set of motion wallpapers in the style found on the Apple Watch. A leaked Apple iPhone 6S packaging that leaked on the web yesterday shows a koi fish on the cover. If legit that means Apple will position the motion wallpapers as a central new feature.
The sources say that Apple is testing the feature, but might decide to drop it. The leaked packaging suggest otherwise. Little features like this make the iPhone 6S more interesting and add something new.
Motion wallpapers will also create a new category for 3rd party developers and designers to sell software. The potentional of this feature is considerable. It is not a big innovation, but its those little things Apple fans fall for.
The iPhone 6S is expected to be unveiled on September 9. The venue is likely the large Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco.
Rumored features of the iPhone 6S include force touch screen, A9 CPU, reinforced aluminum shell and 12MP camera. The iPhone 6S is not a dramatically new iPhone compared to the iPhone 6 but demand will be likely setting a new record.
Apple has reportedly ordered close to 90 million iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus units for 2015.
