A couple of photos have been leaked by from China. The photos allegedly show the Nexus 8 tablet. The pictures are not of the real tablet but the dummy unit of it.
The first picture shows the claimed Nexus 8 next to a ruler. It measures about 200mm in length. That sounds about right for an 8-inch tablet using the expected 4:3 aspect ratio.
The second photo gives us a close-up of the corner of the purported Nexus 8 tablet.
The features shown by the picture include a metal frame, chamfered edges, and what looks to be a speaker grille.
Talk of the Nexus 8 was rife earlier this week after the tablet seemingly appeared on GeekBench 3. Unfortunately, the leak gave us very little in the way of information about the device.
The tablet tested was listed as using Android 5.1.1 Lollipop in the benchmark readout.
However, it’s likely that Nexus 8 would launch with Google’s upcoming Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
GeekBench also stated that the tablet will be powered by an octa-core processor. Both the rumored Nexus phones are also expected to launch on 29th September.
