A new report says that Apple is in talks with Hollywood studios to produce original content for its video streaming offering on the Apple TV.
Apple can do what it wants with over $200 billion in the bank. There is no limit. Electric cars, space station like office or maybe original TV shows and movies. Respected Hollywood industry magazine Variety has published a report that says Apple is planning to make original video content.

Apple is already making radio content with Beats 1 and even got into music video production with Pharrell's Freedom music video.
According to the report, Apple held preliminary talks with execs in Hollywood about producing original content for Apple.
Apple's Eddy Cue is supposed to lead the effort. Headhunters are supposed to hire talent for a production team that is planned to become operational in 2016.
The report also mentions that Apple has made a bid for the Top Gear hosts, but Amazon has won and Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May will be on Amazon Prime in 2016.
Apple is said to offer a TV subscription service in 2016 on the Apple TV. Original content could sweeten the deal for consumers. Original content has become a big topic for video streaming services. The key is to produce top content that scores Emmy's and become favorites with audiences like Netflix's Orange is the New Black.
