IFA: Lenovo Refreshes Ideapad Lineup, Launches new ThinkPad Yoga series

Lenovo has unveiled several new laptops at IFA this year.

Lenovo uncovered a series of laptops in IFA this year. It announced two new ThinkPad Yoga hybrid laptops, a cheap Chromebook and refreshed its IdeaPad lineup.

Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 260:

Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 260 is an LTE-supported convertible notebook. The laptop is powered by new Intel Skylake processors. It is basically a 12.5 inch device.

The standard version will come with a Core i3 chip and 768p display.You can also choose an i7 processor along with 16GB RAM, 1080p display, and 512GB SSD.

It also comes with a fingerprint scanner. Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 260 will be available in US from November. The starting price will be $949.

Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 460:

Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 460 is also a convertible notebook, of 14 inches. It comes with 1080p display but, you can also opt for a Quad HD screen.

Similar to the Yoga 260, the base model will come with Skylake i3 chips but, you can choose up to i7 processors. An option to add discrete GeForce 940M GPU is also available.

ThinkPad Yoga 460 will be available from October in US. The starting price is $1049.

Lenovo MIIX 700 Tablet:

The ideapad MIIX 700 is a 12-inch tablet with a 2160x1440 resolution. It also has a detachable keyboard and is powered by up to a Core i7. You can get it with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB SSD.

This tablet is quite similar to the Microsoft Surface Pro 3. The IdeaPad Miix 700 will release this fall. The base model will cost $699.

Lenovo IdeaPad 300:

The ideapad 300 is offered in 14, 15.6, or 17.3-inch sizes. The smaller two models are offered with the Pentium N3700 Braswell processor as a base option, or you can choose Intel’s more powerful Core as well.

All are available with discrete GPUs with the Radeon R5 M330. System memory is up to 8 GB on Braswell, and 16 GB of DDR3L on Core. The shipping will start in October.

The 14" model begins at $399 while the 15.6" model begins at $549.

Lenovo IdeaPad 500:

Lenovo IdeaPad 500 will have 14-inch and 15.6-inch models available with up to 1920x1080 resolution. It will be available with up to 8 GB memory, and both SSD and HDD storage options.

The Intel version can be configured with up to a Core i7 processor, and the GPU option is the AMD Radeon R7 M360.

The laptop also offers Intel's RealSense 3D camera. It allows you to unlock the device with your face. The shipping will start this October.

The 14" model is priced at $499, while the 15.6" costs $599.

Lenovo IdeaPad 100S, 300S and 500S:

The IdeaPads 100S, 300S and 500S are the light versions of the 300 and 500 series. They support up to 8GB of RAM. The storage options are the same with up to 1TB HDD.

They all will come with only Intel Skylake processors. The IdeaPad S series will start shipping in October. The 100S which is 11" will have a starting price of $249.

The IdeaPad 300S series is 13.3 inch and 14 inch laptops while the IdeaPad 500S has three sizes - 13.3 inch, 14 inch and 15.6 inch.

The 13.3 inch model will be available at $499.

Chromebook 100S:

The Chromebook will be available at $179. It supports 11.6 inch HD display and Intel Bay Trail-M chipset.


Lenovo also announced a few tiny desktop PCs. Not much is revealed regarding these devices.
