According to sources, BMW is working on producing the hybrid cars 530e and 540e.
Sources claim BMW will introduce 2 new car models in 2017. The cars will be hybrids of the 5 series. The project is code named G30 as of now. The hybrids will also have a plug-in feature.

The source also revealed to BMW Blog that the hybrid will have a four-cylinder gasoline engine, along with a TwinPower turbo producing 258 hp. The hybrid car will also have a 400 Nm of torque featuring a VALVETRONIC valve control.
Also featured are control double overhead camshaft VANOS. The direct injection in the car will have a High Precision Injection. Additionally, it will have an electric motor of 95 hp for a total power of 326 hp.
The hybrid electric motor generates a torque of 250 Nm. The motor is also water cooled. The battery is situated under the rear seats. The electric motor can be recharged by the alternator function even while driving. The kinetic energy will easily be transformed into electrical energy. The change will even occur during inertia or braking.

The car system can also foresee strategically and analyse the roads ahead in real time. The system is also coordinated with the electric motor. So the system chooses the best time to use the electric motor. The BMW 540e can travel up to 30 km in electric mode. The speed of the system at the time is 120 km/h and uses below 2.1 liter per 100 km of fuel.
