It is final now; Kate Hudson will be replacing Rebel Wilson to voice on of the new characters in Kung Fu Panda 3. Angelina Jolie, Jack Black, Seth Rogen and Dustin Hoffman are among those that will be reprising their roles on the movie. Other new additions to the cast of the famous Panda movie include Bryan Cranston and J.K. Simmons.

Rebel Wilson had been selected to voice Mei Mei in the movie. Mei Mei is a crazy ribbon dancing panda. This will be the movie series first female panda lead who will be romantically obsessed with Po.
According to THR sources the schedule of the movie became extended which forced Wilson to bow out. Kate Hudson will now voice Mei Mei. For this purpose the before completed scenes will be re-animated to reflect Hudson’s take on the character.
The direction of the movie will be undertaken by Alessandro Carloni and Jennifer Yuh. The new Panda movie is slated for a January 29, 2016 release date. The new storyline will see Po reunited with his long lost father.

Po will also discover a long lost panda paradise. This will be threatened by the emergence of a supernatural villain. Simmons will play the role of the villain. Po will then teach a village of bears to master the martial arts to defeat the villain. This role will be Kate Hudson’s first animated voice work.
