The trailer on Facebook reveals that only 100 days are left.
Finally the Star Wars Episode VII release date has been confirmed. Star Wars: The Force Awakens is all set to be released in the UK on 17th December. This means a day earlier than the one announced before.
This also means that the audiences in British cinemas will get to see the franchise’s new installment before the fans in the US.
This news was confirmed on the official Star Wars UK Facebook page. The Force Awakens is set 30 years after Return of the Jedi.
In the trailer we are able to see the return of Han Solo. The character will be played by Harrison Ford once again along with co-pilot Chewbacca.
Disney is also expecting the film’s merchandise to generate $5 billion in sales. This projection is for the first year after release. Yet in the race of the release date, the French have won.
The movie is set to be released there on the 16th December. Last week we saw the new cast members John Boyega and Daisy Ridley sign the new toys for fans.
John Boyega will be playing Finn while Daisy Ridley will be playing Rey. The rapper Kid Cudi recently tweeted that he had auditioned for a role in Star Wars Episode VII.
