The iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus are available for pre-order since midnight PDT. The larger iPhone 6S Plus turned out to be more popular or in lower supply. If customers order now they have to wait 2 to 3 weeks for delivery.

The iPhone 6S Plus is sold out in any color and any storage option on any carrier on the Apple Store.
Apple has been ordered from its suppliers a record number of new iPhones. It appears that the demand is again much higher than anticipated.
Any iPhone 6S model is still shipping on September 25. Consumers that are interested in the larger iPhone 6S Plus should at this point check directly with the carrier of their choice to find launch inventory.
If that fails, the only option is to queue at a store carrying iPhones next Friday.
