After quite a long wait for fans, Netflix has finally released the first (official) images from their newest venture, Marvel's Jessica Jones. The show, which will debut in November, has caused quite a bit of buzz online and there are many high hopes that it will showcase the character in a positive, feminist way. Many are eagerly awaiting the premier of the show, and it looks like it could be one of the newest hits for Netflix, which has specialized in female driven shows from female writers and producers, like The Unbreakable Kimmie Schmidt and Orange is the New Black.

The images that came out with the first official sneak peek include Krysten Ritter as the titular Jones, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, David Tennant as Kilgrave, Rachael Tayler as Patsy Walker, and Carrie Anne Moss as Harper. Like with other Marvel ventures, there will likely be intertwining with other worlds and more surprise actors joining the team as they progress.
The narrative of Jessica jones follows Jessica in her short-lived stint as a Super Hero that ends in horrible tragedy. Jessica has been rebuilding her personal life and her career, becoming a somewhat hot tempered private detective with a perchance for being a jerk. However, all isn't as it appears because Jessica is dealing with self-hatred and the repercussions of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). She rebuilds her life as she fights against the demons both in her and around her, using her abilities that she picked up in life. Jessica also becomes an unlikely champion for the people around, but usually if they are willing to pay for it. The story takes place in Hell's Kitchen, NYC.
