Tag Heuer CEO announced Tag Heuer Smartwatch event scheduled for November 9.
In March Tag Heuer announced the Tag Heuer Carrera Wearable 01 smartwatch running on Intel hardware and Google's Android Wear platform. Tag Heuer CEO Jean-Claude Biver said back then that he hopes that Apple will sell millions of Apple Watches. This way there are more consumers that want something different. Well he got his wish. Apple sold millions of Apple Watches.

Jean-Claude Biver told CNBC this week that Tag Heuer will unveil the Tag Heuer Android Wear smartwatch at 11am ET on November 9 at the LVMH building in New York.
Tag Heuer has also increased the price from $1,400 to $1,800. Biver thinks because of Apple they are fine charging close to $2,000 for an Android Wear smartwatch. Good luck with that. The new Samsung Gear S2 has a price of $299.99.
We are not expecting that Tag Heuer will integrate cellular connectivity as LG just announced earlier today. The LG Urbane 2nd Edition is the first Android Wear watch with cellular connectivity.
The first connected Tag Heuer watch will be the Carrera Wearable 01. It is supposed to look like the Carrera Heuer 01, which is the new flagship Carrera watch in honor of Tag Heuer's founder Edouard Heuer. The CAR2A1Z.FT6044 TAG Heuer Carrera Heuer 01 has a retail price of about $5,000.
The Heuer 01 has a 45 mm case size and is overall pretty big. This could allow Tag Heuer to integrate higher performing hardware and a larger battery.

So far Tag Heuer has not revealed any other details besides the price and the name of the Tag Heuer smartwatch. We are though not expecting any big surprises. Tag Heuer relies on Intel and Google for the technology and is therefore not able to innovate beyond the competition.
