Jack Dorsey is New Twitter CEO According to SEC Filing

The Twitter board has already assigned Jack Dorsey as CEO on September 30 according to SEC filing.

Twitter Co-Founder Jack Dorsey is the new full time CEO of Twitter. The Board of Directors of Twitter made the decision already on September 30 according to an SEC filing. Rumors have been already flying since days that Jack Dorsey will take the CEO post. He already was the interim CEO replacing Dick Costelo since July.

Jack Dorsey already took to Twitter to and issued a slew of Tweets talking about his CEO role at Twitter. He also hypes Twitter as the most powerful communication tool.

Jack Dorsey will remain CEO of Square. Apparently he is trying to do both jobs at the same time. Let's see how that goes. Square has an IPO coming up and Twitter has growth problems.

According to the SEC filing, the board chose 38-year-old Dorsey serve on the Board because of the perspective and experience he brings as one of Twitter’s founders and as one of Twitter’s largest stockholders, as well as his extensive experience with technology companies. 

The board also appointed Adam Bain as COO of Twitter. 42-year-old Bain served as Twitter’s President, Global Revenue & Partnerships from September 2010 to October 2015. 

Twitter will reveal more details on an investor call at 5:30am Pacific.
