After tons of rumors and speculations, Microsoft finally announced the Lumia 950 and 950 XL flagship duo in a scheduled event yesterday.

In between the announcement of both phones and the Microsoft Surface Laptop tablet unveiling, a Lumia 550 was briefly mentioned.
There was a complete spotlight on the device for ten seconds and in the end, we know that the smartphone will be available in December for $139. The Microsoft Lumia 550 has a 720p 4.6 inch display.
The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 210 chipset with a quad-core 1.1GHz processor and 1GB of RAM. There is a 5MP back camera and a 2MP selfie camera and full LTE support, courtesy of Qualcomm’s chip.
As compared to other specifications, the storage of the device is not intriguing which is only 8GB but it expandable through the microSD slot option.
The device weighs around 141.9g; which is the same as the new iPhone 6S. The Battery capacity of the phone is expected to be at 2,100mAh, and the whole package measures 136.1 x 67.8 x 9.9mm.
The Microsoft Lumia 550 will be available in a variety of colors with its detachable polycarbonate back cover.
