Surface Pro 4 is an iPad Pro Killer

Microsoft has unveiled its Surface Pro 4 with a larger screen and more powerful internals.

Microsoft in an event yesterday also announced an update to its tablet lineup with the Surface Pro 4, apart from the expected flagships.

Although there are some major improvements in the tablet, it is quite similar in appearance and form factor to its predecessor.

The device has a large 12.3 inch display as compared to 12 inch display of the Surface Pro 3. The body of the device is also trimmed and is now just 8.4mm.

It still has a magnesium build and a kickstand with a full-function multipurpose hinge. The display of the Surface Pro is comparatively sharp with the resolution of 2736 x 1824 pixels and 267 ppi.

Due to Microsoft’s new PixelSense Display technology, the screen is more precise and fine than its predecessor with ten point multi-touch functionality.

The most significant part of the Pro 4 is that it is quite productive while docked. The new version of the dock is compatible with the accessories of its predecessor, namely the docking station and Type Cover.

There is also a signature keyboard with a fingerprint reader and a new button design, which will improve the typing experience.

The trackpad is also bigger by 40% with an improved scrolling experience through the glass surface. Surface Pro also has the Stylus option.

The Microsoft Pen now comes is also updated with new design, and a virtual eraser on the back, which is an analog-style redo for your creations.

The Pen also has a wide range of interchangeable tips; which can effectively change your writing experience. The Pen is capable of detecting an impressive 1024 levels of pressure, even more than that.

It can also attach to the side of the surface via magnet. The Surface Pro has even more powerful sixth generation Intel chip (Core m, Core i5 or Core i7) inside the tablet, which can be easily cooled by a new hybrid cooling system.

The tablet comes with an integrated Intel HD graphics chip (515, 520 or Iris 540, respectively). It also includes 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of SSD storage.

The new Surface Pro 4 starts from $899 to $2,199. If you want the type cover than you will have to add $129.99 extra and $59.99 for the Surface Pen.
