The domain abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz.com is now owned by Google. The domain was registered originally back in 1999 reports DomainInvesting. The private owner has sold it to Google. There is no word about what Google paid for it. It is a rather useless domain name. Nobody will type in that domain name.

A commenter on the Domain Investing story says that the original owner registered abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz.com when the length of domain names get expanded.
