Update from Tesla will bring Auto Pilot to the Model S.
Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk announced on Saturday through Twitter that the company would be releasing its software v7.0 with Autopilot for the Model S on October 15th, Thursday.

The first release of the update was sent in mid-August to about 600-700 sample testers around U.S. and Europe. This update was long expected.

It has a significant UI design overhaul, but also includes many Autpilot features. The Autopilot feature on the Model S will enable activities such as auto steering, and lane changing activated by the turn signal.
The version 7.0 will also include some improvements for Model S without Auto Pilot.

These include the more efficient climate control; improved hill start assist that works on all surfaces and improved efficiency and performance for RWD Model S.
