Webmasters can check the real-time web statistics on the Apple Watch with this Apple Watch app.
You just posted a story that you think will go big any moment. Wouldn't it be nice to just see the current traffic of your site in a glance on your Apple Watch? The Google Analytics apps from Google for the iPhone and iPad are not supporting the Apple Watch yet.
There is though a way to display the real-time report on the Apple Watch with Glimpse. Developer Arno Appenzeller describes his app as webpages for your watch and notification center. With Glimpse you can grab an area of a web page and have it displayed in a glance on the Apple Watch.
To get the Google Analytics Real-time counter on the Apple Watch you add the url of the Google Analytics real-time page displayed in Safari. Add it in the Glimpse app on the iPhone under the list for Apple Watch. Move and resize the displayed rectangle to enclose the real-time counter and that is it, the Google analytics real-time access statistics appear on your Apple Watch.
To refresh the view deep press on the screen and choose Refresh page. Now you can check your current web site traffic at a glance on the go.
You can also add more than one web pages to Glimpse to monitor the stats of your other sites. You can switch between the different web views on the Apple Watch.
Glimpse can be used to monitor any web page, but for me the most value is in quickly being able to check the current traffic on my site. Just be careful to not get addicted and constantly look at your Apple Watch to check the traffic stats.
Now ideally the Google Analytics real-time counter would update constantly on the Apple Watch. For this added experience we will most likely have to wait for Google to update their Google Analytics apps to support the Apple Watch.
