Taiwanese electronics company Acer has launched its Aspire Z3-700 all-in-one Windows 10 desktop PC, and it comes equipped with a built-in battery backup that lasts for 5 hours before the need to recharge.

The launch was put together in Taipei on Monday, and the company used the opportunity to also debut the convertible notebook Aspire R 14, which also has a Windows 10 OS and other great features such as the Cortana personal assistant, Microsoft Edge browser, and Continuum which enables Windows phones to be docked to a large display, keyboard and mouse.

The all-in-one Acer Aspire Z3-700 desktop has Celeron or Pentium processors and feature up to 8GB DDR3L system memory. It has options for SSD or HDD storage, and measures 17.3-inch across with 15.6 millimeter chassis, weighing about 2 kg. It has a full HD (1920 x 1080) 10-point capacitive multi-touch screen, which also supports a stylus; and it has stands that can make it stand up straight or recline back.

It costs €599 or $680 to purchase a piece in Europe, Middle East, and Africa; but the price for North America or when it will start to ship there is not yet released. Acer is immediate preoccupied with shipping the Aspire R 14 to North America with a price of $699 above, and this will also be available in Europe, North America and Africa later this month for €799 and above.

The Aspire R 14 is 18.5 mm thin and weighs 1.9 kg. It is also a convertible and has 6th generation Intel Core processors, using up to 8GB DDR3L memory and an optional SSD storage. It has the multi-user multiple input, multiple output (MU-MIMO) wireless technology for very fast downloads, and it can use Wi-FI devices to send data too.

Both Aspire R 14 and Z3-700 provide audio with immersive sound via Acer’s True Harmony Plus technology with Dolby Audio. They also offer four modes to control blue-light emission from the screen and reduce eyestrain, using Acer’s BluelightShield.

During the launch, Acer showed how the Liquid Jade Primo smartphone works, although it was first demonstrated at IFA 2015. It is a 5.5 inches smartphone using Microsoft’s Continuum capability to enable users experience a PC-like feel with the Windows 10 universal app after the phone is connected to a secondary display.
