According to statistics of the sales, in the past 9 months of 2015 Tesla Model S has reigned supreme in the European market.

It seems Tesla is on the rise. The auto division of Tesla has been gaining popularity and success in the world market. Tesla it seems is number one especially in European countries.

In European countries diesel and petrol run engine cars are now taxed more. So it is understandable why Tesla is gaining popularity there. Especially the Model S by Tesla which is a complete electric vehicle.

The sale of Tesla has increased in the EU countries more than even the German luxury brands. According to Forbes, recent statistics show that Tesla has sold more cars than BMW, Audi and Mercedes.

The statistics show sale figures for the first 9 months of 2015 in Europe. Tesla seems to be on top with the Model S being the most sold. 

The BMW 7 Series, Mercedes-Benz S Class and the Audi A8 used to be the best in Europe. The Model S has substantially sold more than the BMW 7 Series and the Audi A8. Only the Mercedes S Class has sales statistic that is more than the Model S by Tesla.

The data was released by the Automotive Industry Data (AID). The data claims Tesla has sold more than 10,600 of its Model S sedans. While Audi has sold 4,700 A8’s and BMW only sold 2,650 7 Series. Mercedes sold only 800 more units of its S class than Tesla Model S. 

The biggest sales for Tesla occurred in countries such as Norway. In Norway taxes on petrol and diesel have hiked up extremely. Another factor being Model S by Tesla is the most luxurious Electric vehicle available in the European market.
