In what has been one of the longest awaited TV reunions of all time, Michelle and Danny Tanner finally reunited last night! Okay, well it was actually Bob Saget, who played TV's favorite father and Ashley Olsen, who played Michelle Tanner half of the time. The two had a mini-reunion backstage at the opening night of his performance in the Broadway show Hand to God.
“Loved having my dear friend Ashley Olsen at my welcoming opening of @HandToGodBway last night with the brilliant cast I get to act with: Steven Boyer, Geneva Carr, Sarah Stiles, and Michael Oberholtzer,” he captioned a sweet snapshot on Instagram on Saturday, Nov. 7. “Almost time for the matinee today. Can’t wait.”
Saget and Olsen seemed to be all laughs, but there wasn't any talks about Ashley joining Saget on the set of the Full House reunion series set for Netflix. Today, Olsen who is 29, is better known for being a fashionista and woman about town.
There really doesn't seem to be any love lost between anyone on the cast, like the recent Lifetime movie suggested. In that movie, John Stamos, who played Uncle Jesse on both shows, told reporters that the then-toddler Olsen twins were a bit hard to work with.
“It is sort of true that the Olsen twins cried a lot,” the 52-year-old actor said on a panel for his Fox show, Grandfathered. “It was very difficult to get the shot. So that is actually 100 percent accurate.”
Saget will be joined by Stamos, Jodie Sweetin who played Stephanie Tanner, Dave Coulier who played Uncle Joey, Lori Laughlin who played Becky, Candace Cameron Bure who played oldest sister DJ, and Andrea Barber who played the annoying but memorable Kimmy Gibbler from the original Full House cast for Netflix’s forthcoming Fuller House spinoff. There have been rumors that many of the original cast have been trying to get the Olsen twins in on the fun - but they decided against it because as they aren't identical, they both couldn't participate.
