Alanis Morissette has added a modern update to her hit song ‘Ironic’. The song was released 20 years ago and became a hit. Now Alanis felt the lyrics were too old for the new generation. Hence the lyrics were updated by Alanis with a modern twist.

The modern update took place when Alanis was on the Late Late Show. Dressed up like back in the days 20 years ago both Alanis and James Corden sang the song. The Late Late Show host and the singer gave viewers a hearty laugh with the modern version of ‘Ironic’.
The 41-year-old songstress came on The Late Late Show on Monday night. The updated lyrics were a funny reflection of the current tech-savvy age. Some of the lyrics as a result came out downright funny. Especially when Alanis sang about receiving a Facebook request from a racist friend.
James Corden also sang funny lines about free office cake on the first day of diet. The host and the singer both seemed to be having a lot of fun. Both Alanis and Corden had a back-and-forth singing session for quite some time.

Corden also pointed out for a song named ‘Ironic’ the lyrics are vaguely un-ironic. Whatever the duo was up to they did manage to make the viewer’s laugh. Corden’s participating in the song has since gone viral.
